The apostles said to the Lord, "Give us more faith!"

our eyes fixed upon Jesus as the pioneer and the perfection of faith — upon Jesus who, in order to reach his own appointed joy, steadily endured the cross, thinking nothing of its shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

For it is by grace you have been saved, as you had faith; it is not your doing but God's gift,

You know how later on, when he wanted to obtain his inheritance of blessing, he was set aside; he got no chance to repent, though he tried for it with tears.

So the Spirit said to Peter, who was pondering over the vision, "There are three men looking for you!

Jesus said to him, "'If you can'! Anything can be done for one who believes."

Now as Jesus saw that a crowd was rapidly gathering, he checked the unclean spirit. "Deaf and dumb spirit," he said, "leave him, I command you, and never enter him again."
