In the days of his flesh, with bitter cries and tears, he offered prayers and supplications to Him who was able to save him from death; and he was heard, because of his godly fear.

The people in front checked him and told him to be quiet, but he shouted all the more, "Son of David, have pity on me!"

He was still speaking when a message came from the house of the synagogue-president, "Your daughter is dead. Why trouble the teacher to come any further?"

The crowd checked them and told them to be quiet, but they shouted all the louder, "O Lord, Son of David, have pity on us!"

Then children were brought to him that he might lay his hands on them and pray over them. The disciples checked the people,
