This is he of whom it is written, Here I send my messenger before your face, to prepare the way for you.

And you, my child, shall be called a prophet of the Most High; for you shall go in front of the Lord to make his ways ready,

As it is written in the prophet Isaiah, Here I send my messenger before your face to prepare the way for you:

He said, "I am the voice of one who cries in the desert, 'level the way for the Lord' — as the prophet Isaiah said."

This is he of whom it is written, Here I send my messenger before your face to prepare the way for you.

Come, what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and far more than a prophet.
