and during their conversation and discussion Jesus himself approached and walked beside them,

For where two or three have gathered in my name, I am there among them."

Just as they were speaking He stood among them [and said to them, "Peace to you!"]

They argued among themselves, "But we have not brought any bread!"

They were conversing about all these events,

though they were prevented from recognizing him.
