Jesus said, "I tell you, Peter, the cock will not crow to-day before you have three times denied that you know me."
Jesus replied, "Lay down your life for me? Truly, truly I tell you, before the cock crows, you will have disowned me thrice over.
Jesus said to him, "I tell you truly, to-day you will disown me three times, this very night, before the cock crows twice."
Jesus said to him, "I tell you truly, you will disown me three times this very night, before the cock crows."
At this he broke out cursing and swearing, "I do not know the man." At that moment a cock crowed.
Again Peter denied it. And at that very moment the cock crowed.
"Lord," he said, "I am ready to go with you to prison and to death."
And he said to them, "When I sent you out with neither purse nor wallet nor sandals, did you want for anything?" "No," they said, "for nothing."
the Lord turned round and looked at Peter, and then Peter remembered what the Lord had told him, that 'Before cock-crow to-day you will disown me three times.'
