No one lights a lamp to put it in a cellar or under a bowl, but on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light.

I have come as light into the world, that no one who believes in me may remain in the dark.

Jesus replied, "Are there not twelve hours in the day? If one walks during the day he does not stumble, for he sees the light of this world:

what I tell you in the dark, you must utter in the open, what you hear in a whisper you must proclaim on the housetop.
