Why, it is written in your own Law that the evidence of two persons is valid:

Anyone who has rejected the law of Moses dies without mercy, on the evidence of two or of three witnesses.

but if he will not listen, take one or two others along with you, so that every case may be decided on the evidence of two or of three witnesses.

the Law thus held us as wards in discipline, till such time as Christ came, that we might be justified by faith.
