Now there were some Greeks among those who had come up to worship at the festival;

Of that gospel I have been appointed a herald and an apostle and a teacher,

and I was appointed to be its herald and apostle (I am not telling a lie, it is quite true), to teach the Gentiles faith and truth.

It is His will that they should understand the glorious wealth which this secret holds for the Gentiles, in the fact of Christ's presence among you as your hope of glory.

Now, they have heard that you teach all Jews who live among Gentiles to break away from Moses and not to circumcise their children, nor to follow the old customs.

On hearing this they desisted and glorified God, saying, "So God has actually allowed the Gentiles to repent and live!"

So the Jews said, "Will he kill himself? Is that why he says, 'Where I go, you cannot come'?"

to be a light of revelation for the Gentiles and a glory to thy people Israel."

and the Gentiles will hope in his name.

After this Jesus moved about in Galilee; he would not move in Judaea, because the Jews were trying to kill him.

Some of them, however, were Cypriotes and Cyrenians, who on reaching Antioch told the Greeks also the gospel of the Lord Jesus;

At Iconium the same thing happened. They went into the synagogue of the Jews and spoke in such a way that a great body both of Jews and Greeks believed.

Some were persuaded and threw in their lot with Paul and Silas, including a host of devout Greeks and a large number of the leading women.

Every sabbath he argued in the synagogue, persuading both Jews and Greeks.

For I am proud of the gospel; it is God's saving power for everyone who has faith, for the Jew first and for the Greek as well.
