And the crowd disputed about him hotly; some said, "He is a good man," but others said, "No, he is misleading the people."

Then said some of the Pharisees, "This man is not from God, for he does not keep the sabbath"; others said, "How can a sinner perform such Signs?" They were divided on this.

The Pharisees retorted, "Are you misled as well?

The Pharisees heard the people discussing Jesus in this way, so the high priests and the Pharisees despatched attendants to arrest him.

In all that you do, avoid grumbling and disputing,

Why, a man will hardly die for the just — though one might bring oneself to die, if need be, for a good man.

they tried to get hold of him, but they were afraid of the crowds, as the crowds held him to be a prophet.

enough for the scholar to fare like his teacher, and the servant like his lord. If men have called the master of the house Beelzebul, how much more will they miscall his servants!
