He said to them, "Give them some food yourselves." They said, "We have only got five loaves and two fish. Unless — are we to go and buy food for the whole of this people?"

He said, "How many loaves have you got? Go and see." When they found out they told him, "Five, and two fish."

They said, "We have only five loaves with us and two fish."

Do you not understand even yet? Do you not remember the five loaves of the five thousand and how many baskets you took up?

Do you not remember how many baskets full of fragments you picked up when I broke the five loaves for the five thousand?" They said, "Twelve."

(You know how gracious our Lord Jesus Christ was; rich though he was, he became poor for the sake of you, that by his poverty you might be rich.)

and I heard like a voice in the midst of the four living Creatures saying, "A shilling for a quart of wheat, a shilling for three quarts of barley; but harm not oil and wine!"

But when Mary came to where Jesus was and saw him, she dropped at his feet, crying, "Had you been here, Lord, my brother would not have died."

Said Martha to Jesus, "Had you been here, Lord, my brother would not have died.

Philip answered, "Seven pounds' worth of bread would not be enough for them, for everybody to get even a morsel."

Then Jesus took the loaves, gave thanks to God, and distributed them to those who were reclining; so too with the fish, as much as they wanted.

When they got to land, they saw a charcoal fire burning, with fish cooking on it, and some bread.

Jesus said to them, "Bring some of the fish you have just caught."

Jesus went and took the bread and gave it to them, and the fish too.
