Now many of the Jews read this inscription, for the place where Jesus had been crucified was close to the city; besides, the inscription was in Hebrew, Latin, and Greek.

And they were mustered at the spot called (in Hebrew) Harmagedon.

We all fell to the ground, and I heard a voice saying to me in Hebrew, 'Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me? You hurt yourself by kicking at the goad.'

When they heard him addressing them in Hebrew they were all the more quiet. So he went on.

As he gave permission, Paul stood on the steps and motioned to the people. A great hush came over them, and he addressed them as follows in Hebrew.

so they put Jesus there, since it was the Jewish day of Preparation, seeing that the tomb was close by.
