And on that day you will not ask me any questions. Truly, truly I tell you, whatever you ask the Father, he will give you in my name;
If you remain in me and my words remain in you, then ask whatever you like and you shall have it.
All that ever you ask in prayer you shall have, if you believe."
Ask and the gift will be yours, seek and you will find, knock and the door will open to you;
On that day you will ask in my name, and I do not say to you I will ask the Father on your behalf;
You will understand, on that day, that I am in my Father and you are in me and I am in you.
for it is through him that we both enjoy our access to the Father in one Spirit.
My dear children, I am writing this to you that you may not sin; but if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father in Jesus Christ the just;
"Lord," said Thomas, "we do not know where you are going, and how are we to know the way?"
Jesus knew they wanted to ask him; so he said to them, "Is this what you are discussing together, why I said, 'In a little while, you will not see me: then, after a little, you shall see me'?
Now we are sure you know everything, and need no one to put questions to you. This makes us believe you have come forth from God."
"Lord," said Judas (not Judas Iscariot), "why is it that you are to appear to us, and not to the world?"
