I have told you all this while I am still with you,

I am telling you this now, before it occurs, so that when it has occurred you may believe who I am.

I have still much to say to you, but you cannot bear it just now.

I have told you this, that my joy may be within you and your joy complete.

I tell you this now, before it occurs, so that, when it does occur, you may believe.

He who does not love me does not obey my word; and what you hear me say is not my word but the word of the Father who sent me.

but the Helper, the holy Spirit whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and recall to you everything I have said.
