Do you not believe I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words I speak to you all I do not speak of my own accord; it is the Father who remains ever in me, who is performing his own deeds.

So Jesus made this answer to them: "Truly, truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing of his own accord, nothing but what he sees the Father doing; for whatever he does, the Son also does the same.

but if I am, then believe the deeds, though you will not believe me — that you may learn and understand that the Father is in me and I am in the Father."

but now you want to kill me — to kill a man who has told you the truth, the truth I have learned from God. Abraham did not do that.

and no one who lives and believes in me will ever die. You believe that?"

he came one night to Jesus and said, "Rabbi, we know you have come from God to teach us, for no one could perform these Signs of yours unless God were with him."

Believe me, I am in the Father and the Father is in me: — or else, believe because of the deeds themselves.

He who does not love me does not obey my word; and what you hear me say is not my word but the word of the Father who sent me.
