with perfect modesty and gentleness, showing forbearance to one another patiently, zealous in love
always slow to expose, always eager to believe the best, always hopeful, always patient.
We who are strong ought to bear the burdens that the weak make for themselves and us. We are not to please ourselves.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find your souls refreshed;
Shun that, O man of God, aim at integrity, piety, faith, love, stedfastness, and suavity;
but reverence Christ as Lord in your own hearts. Always be ready with a reply for anyone who calls you to account for the hope you cherish, but answer gently and with a sense of reverence;
he must be gentle in his admonitions to the opposition — God may perhaps let them change their mind and admit the Truth;
Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
He chose us in him ere the world was founded, to be consecrated and unblemished in his sight,

He answered them, "O faithless generation, how long must I still be with you? how long have I to bear with you? Bring him to me."
so clear away all the foul rank growth of malice, and make a soil of modesty for the Word which roots itself inwardly with power to save your souls.
May his glorious might nerve you with full power to endure and to be patient cheerfully, whatever comes,
Lastly, you must all be united, you must have sympathy, brotherly love, compassion, and humility,
