And the moment he rose from the water he saw the heavens cleft and the Spirit coming down upon him like a dove;

We are the true Circumcision, we who worship God in spirit, we who pride ourselves on Christ Jesus, we who rely upon no outward privilege.

But here you are, boasting in your proud pretensions! All such boasting is wicked.

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again, 'rejoice.'

Through him we have got access to this grace where we have our standing, and triumph in the hope of God's glory.

As for the disciples, they were filled with joy and the holy Spirit.

So there was great rejoicing in that town.

The Realm of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field; the man who finds it hides it and in his delight goes and sells all he possesses and buys that field.

Now when Jesus had been baptized, the moment he rose out of the water, the heavens opened and he saw the Spirit of God coming down like a dove upon him.

He took them up to his house and put food before them, overjoyed like all his household at having believed in God.

The Spirit said to Philip, "Go up and join that chariot."

So he ordered the chariot to stop. Both of them stepped into the water, and Philip baptized the eunuch.
