Next day he came upon two of them fighting and tried to pacify them. "You are brothers!" he said, "why injure one another?"

never acting for private ends or from vanity, but humbly considering each other the better man,

So by all the stimulus of Christ, by every incentive of love, by all your participation in the Spirit, by all your affectionate tenderness,

Then he made the disciples embark in the boat and cross before him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowds;

(He thought his brothers would understand God was going to bring them deliverance by means of him, but they did not understand.)
