Acts 25:1

Three days after Festus entered his province, he went up from Caesarea to Jerusalem.

On reading the letter he asked what province he belonged to, and finding it was Cilicia

"when," he added, "your competent authorities can come down with me and charge the man with whatever crime he has committed."

After these days we packed up and started for Jerusalem,

he reached Caesarea, went up to the capital to salute the church, and travelled down to Antioch.

while Philip found himself at Azotus, where he passed on, preaching the gospel in every town, till he reached Caesarea.

But when two years had elapsed, Felix was succeeded by Porcius Festus, and as Felix wanted to ingratiate himself with the Jews, he left Paul still in custody.

Festus replied that Paul would be kept in custody at Caesarea, but that he himself meant to leave for Caesarea before long —

After staying not more than eight or ten days with them, he went down to Caesarea. Next day he took his seat on the tribunal and ordered Paul to be brought before him.

Some days had passed, when king Agrippa and Bernice came to Caesarea to pay their respects to Festus.
