He lost no time in preaching throughout the synagogues that Jesus was the Son of God —

Every sabbath he argued in the synagogue, persuading both Jews and Greeks.

He argued in the synagogue with the Jews and the devout proselytes and also in the marketplace daily with those who chanced to be present.

Then the brothers at once sent off Paul and Silas by night to Beroea. When they arrived there, they betook themselves to the Jewish synagogue,

Then he came to Nazaret, where he had been brought up, and on the sabbath he entered the synagogue as was his custom. He stood up to read the lesson

but when he argued about morality, self-mastery, and the future judgment, Felix grew uneasy. "You may go for the present," he said; "when I can find a moment, I will send for you"

Then Paul entered the synagogue and for three months spoke out fearlessly, arguing and persuading people about the Reign of God.

but they passed on from Perga and arrived at Pisidian Antioch. On the sabbath they went into the synagogue and sat down;

The Son of man goes the road that the scripture has described for him, but woe to the man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! Better that man had never been born!"

First and foremost, I passed on to you what I had myself received, namely, that Christ died for our sins as the scriptures had said,
