and after preaching the gospel to that town and making a number of disciples, they turned back to Lystra, Iconium and Antioch,

But Jews from Antioch and Iconium arrived, who won over the crowds, and after pelting Paul with stones they dragged him outside the town, thinking he was dead.

At Iconium the same thing happened. They went into the synagogue of the Jews and spoke in such a way that a great body both of Jews and Greeks believed.

They shook the dust off their feet as a protest and went to Iconium.

my persecutions, my sufferings — all that befell me at Antioch, Iconium and Lystra, all the persecutions I had to undergo, from which the Lord rescued me.

the apostles grasped the situation and escaped to the Lycaonian towns of Lystra and Derbe and to the surrounding country;

but they passed on from Perga and arrived at Pisidian Antioch. On the sabbath they went into the synagogue and sat down;

go and make disciples of all nations, baptize them in the name of the Father and the Son and the holy Spirit,

He had a good reputation among the brothers at Lystra and Iconium;

Some days later, Paul said to Barnabas, "Come and let us go back to visit the brothers in every town where we have proclaimed the word of the Lord. Let us see how they are doing."

At Lystra there was a man sitting, who was powerless in his feet, a lame man unable to walk ever since he was born.

praising God and looked on with favour by all the people. Meantime the Lord added the saved daily to their number.

there they continued to preach the gospel.

shouting, "Men, what is this you are doing? We are but human, with natures like your own! The gospel we are preaching to you is to turn from such futile ways to the living God who made the heaven, the earth, the sea, and all that in them is.

thence they sailed for Antioch, where they had been commended to the grace of God for the work they had now completed.
