To them Peter said, "You know yourselves it is illegal for a Jew to join or accost anyone belonging to another nation; but God has shown me that I must not call any man common or unclean,

"Who are you?" he asked. "I am Jesus," he said, "and you persecute me.

but the mother told them, "No, the child is to be called John."

But the sensible replied, 'No, there may not be enough for us and for you. Better go to the dealers and buy for yourselves.'

Peter took him and began to reprove him for it; "God forbid, Lord," he said, "This must not be."

A leper came up and knelt before him, saying, "If you only choose, sir, you can cleanse me";

it is not what enters a man's mouth that defiles him, what defiles a man is what comes out of his mouth."

They noticed that some of his disciples ate their food with 'common' (that is, unwashed) hands.

"Sir," said the woman, "you have nothing to draw water with, and it is a deep well; where do you get your 'living' water?

A voice came to him, "Rise, Peter, kill and eat."

'Who are you?' I asked. He said to me, 'I am Jesus the Nazarene, and you are persecuting me.'
