I am glad to have full confidence in you.
So the very reason I wrote was that I might not come only to be pained by those who ought to give me joy; I relied on you all, I felt sure that my joy would be a joy for everyone of you.

Hence, although in Christ I would feel quite free to order you to do your duty,
Now, we rely on you in the Lord, confident that you do and will do what we enjoin.
