Where is the credit in standing punishment for having done wrong? No, if you stand suffering for having done right, that is what God counts a merit.

But by God's grace I am what I am. The grace he showed me did not go for nothing; no, I have done far more work than all of them — though it was not I but God's grace at my side.

If you love only those who love you, what credit is that to you? Why, even sinful men love those who love them.

You must be obedient, therefore, not only to avoid the divine vengeance but as a matter of conscience,

None of you must suffer as a murderer or a thief or a bad character or a revolutionary;
