[Keep out of all incongruous ties with unbelievers. What have righteousness and iniquity in common, or how can light associate with darkness?

Even to have law-suits with one another is in itself evidence of defeat. Why not rather let yourselves be wronged? Why not rather let yourselves be defrauded?

When any of you has a grievance against his neighbour, do you dare to go to law in a sinful pagan court, instead of laying the case before the saints?

Next day he came upon two of them fighting and tried to pacify them. "You are brothers!" he said, "why injure one another?"

What harmony can there be between Christ and Beliar, or what business has a believer with an unbeliever?

Whoever does not provide for his own relatives and particularly for his own family, has repudiated the faith: he is worse than an infidel.
