I prove myself at all points a true minister of God, by great endurance, by suffering, by troubles, by calamities,

I appeal to you too, as a worker with God, do not receive the grace of God in vain.

It was when Apollos was in Corinth that Paul, after passing through the inland districts, came down to Ephesus. There he found some disciples,

as a priest of Christ Jesus to the Gentiles in the service of God's gospel. My aim is to make the Gentiles an acceptable offering, consecrated by the holy Spirit.

Paul, Apollos, Cephas, the world, life, death, the present and the future — all belongs to you;

As for our brother Apollos, I urged him to accompany the other brothers on a visit to you; he will come as soon as he has time, but for the present it is not the will of God that he should visit you.

Hence, as I hold this ministry by God's mercy to me, I never lose heart in it;

It is all the doing of the God who has reconciled me to himself through Christ and has permitted me to be a minister of his reconciliation.

that is, if you adhere to the foundations and stability of the faith, instead of moving away from the hope you have learned in the gospel, that gospel which has been preached to every creature under heaven, and of which I Paul was made a minister.

I render thanks to Christ Jesus our Lord, who has made me able for this; he considered me trustworthy and appointed me to the ministry,
