Foolish man! What you sow never comes to life unless it dies.
Truly, truly I tell you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains a single grain; but if it dies, it bears rich fruit.
Foolish men! did not He who made the outside make the inside of things too?
Be strictly careful then about the life you lead; act like sensible men, not like thoughtless;
They claimed to be wise, but they have become fools;
He said to them, "O foolish men, with hearts so slow to believe, after all the prophets have declared!
But God said to him, 'Foolish man, this very night your soul is wanted; and who will get all you have prepared?'
And what you sow is not the body that is to be; it is a mere grain of wheat, for example, or some other seed.
But will you understand, you senseless fellow, that faith without deeds is dead?
