This filled the high priest Annas and his allies, the Sadducean party, with bitter jealousy;

to bring out the secret aims of many a heart. And your own soul will be pierced by a spear."

But this makes it impossible for you to eat the 'Lord's' supper when you hold your gatherings.

For I am afraid I may perhaps come and find you are not what I could wish, while you may find I am not what you could wish; I am afraid of finding quarrels, jealousy, temper, rivalry, slanders, gossiping, arrogance, and disorder —
