Zephaniah 2:7

And the coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Yhudah; they shall feed thereupon: in the houses of Ashkelon shall they lie down in the evening: for YY their Elohim shall visit them, and turn away their captivity.

At that time will I bring you again, even in the time that I gather you: for I will make you a name and a praise among all people of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before your eyes, saith YY .

Therefore thus saith YY Elohim; Now will I bring again the captivity of Yaakov, and have mercy upon the whole house of Yisrael, and will be jealous for my holy name;

And the people believed: and when they heard that YY had visited the children of Yisrael, and that he had looked upon their affliction, then they bowed their heads and worshipped.

Blessed be YY Elohim of Yisrael; for he hath visited and redeemed his people,

And I will make her that halted a remnant, and her that was cast far off a strong nation: and YY shall reign over them in mount TZiyon from henceforth, even for ever.

I will surely assemble, O Yaakov, all of thee; I will surely gather the remnant of Yisrael; I will put them together as the sheep of Bozrah, as the flock in the midst of their fold: they shall make great noise by reason of the multitude of men.

And they of the south shall possess the mount of Esav; and they of the plain the Plishtim: and they shall possess the fields of Efrayim, and the fields of Shomron: and Binyamin shall possess Gilad.

And I will cause the captivity of Yhudah and the captivity of Yisrael to return, and will build them, as at the first.

And I will be found of you, saith YY : and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith YY ; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.

Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.

But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea.

And the angel of YY spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Yerushalayim unto Azah, which is desert.

And there came a fear on all: and they glorified Elohim, saying, That a great prophet is risen up among us; and, That Elohim hath visited his people.

Be in pain, and labour to bring forth, O daughter of TZiyon, like a woman in travail: for now shalt thou go forth out of the city, and thou shalt dwell in the field, and thou shalt go even to Bavel; there shalt thou be delivered; there YY shall redeem thee from the hand of thine enemies.

Men shall buy fields for money, and subscribe evidences, and seal them, and take witnesses in the land of Binyamin, and in the places about Yerushalayim, and in the cities of Yhudah, and in the cities of the mountains, and in the cities of the valley, and in the cities of the south: for I will cause their captivity to return, saith YY .

For thus saith YY ; Sing with gladness for Yaakov, and shout among the chief of the nations: publish ye, praise ye, and say, O YY , save thy people, the remnant of Yisrael.

For, lo, the days come, saith YY , that I will bring again the captivity of my people Yisrael and Yhudah, saith YY : and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.

And I will gather the remnant of my flock out of all countries whither I have driven them, and will bring them again to their folds; and they shall be fruitful and increase.

In those days the house of Yhudah shall walk with the house of Yisrael, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given for an inheritance unto your fathers.

And it shall come to pass in that day, that YY shall set his hand again the second time to recover the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Ashur, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea.

YY , thou hast been favourable unto thy land: thou hast brought back the captivity of Yaakov.

And Yosef said unto his brethren, I die: and Elohim will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land unto the land which he sware to Avraham, to Yitzchak, and to Yaakov.

Speak now to Zrubavel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Yhudah, and to Y'howshu`a the son of Josedech, kohen hagadol, and to the residue of the people, saying,

Then Zrubavel the son of Shealtiel, and Y'howshu`a the son of Josedech, kohen hagadol, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of YY their Elohim, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as YY their Elohim had sent him, and the people did fear before YY .

Therefore as I live, saith YY -TZvaot, the Elohim of Yisrael, Surely Moab shall be as Sodom, and the children of Ammon as Gomorrah, even the breeding of nettles, and saltpits, and a perpetual desolation: the residue of my people shall spoil them, and the remnant of my people shall possess them.

For YY will have mercy on Yaakov, and will yet choose Yisrael, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Yaakov.

Then she arose with her daughters in law, that she might return from the country of Moab: for she had heard in the country of Moab how that YY had visited his people in giving them bread.

Return, we beseech thee, O Elohim of hosts: look down from heaven, and behold, and visit this vine;

And there shall be an highway for the remnant of his people, which shall be left, from Ashur; like as it was to Yisrael in the day that he came up out of the land of Egypt.

Because the palaces shall be forsaken; the multitude of the city shall be left; the forts and towers shall be for dens for ever, a joy of wild asses, a pasture of flocks;

For thus saith YY , That after seventy years be accomplished at Bavel I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.

Thus saith YY -TZvaot; Again in this place, which is desolate without man and without beast, and in all the cities thereof, shall be an habitation of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down.

Baldness is come upon Azah; Ashkelon is cut off with the remnant of their valley: how long wilt thou cut thyself?

Also, O Yhudah, he hath set an harvest for thee, when I returned the captivity of my people.

The remnant of Yisrael shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: for they shall feed and lie down, and none shall make them afraid.

But they shall fly upon the shoulders of the Plishtim toward the west; they shall spoil them of the east together: they shall lay their hand upon Edom and Moab; and the children of Ammon shall obey them.
