Wherefore my fury and mine anger was poured forth, and was kindled in the cities of Yhudah and in the streets of Yerushalayim; and they are wasted and desolate, as at this day.
Therefore have I poured out mine indignation upon them; I have consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their own way have I recompensed upon their heads, saith YY Elohim.
Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers:
And after all that is come upon us for our evil deeds, and for our great trespass, seeing that thou our Elohim hast punished us less than our iniquities deserve, and hast given us such deliverance as this;
Notwithstanding YY turned not from the fierceness of his great wrath, wherewith his anger was kindled against Yhudah, because of all the provocations that Mnasheh had provoked him withal.
Because thine heart was tender, and thou hast humbled thyself before YY , when thou heardest what I spake against this place, and against the inhabitants thereof, that they should become a desolation and a curse, and hast rent thy clothes, and wept before me; I also have heard thee, saith YY .
Therefore will I also deal in fury: mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: and though they cry in mine ears with a loud voice, yet will I not hear them.
And they came in, and possessed it; but they obeyed not thy voice, neither walked in thy Torah; they have done nothing of all that thou Commandedst them to do: therefore thou hast caused all this evil to come upon them:
Yea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the Torah, and the words which YY -TZvaot hath sent in his spirit by the former prophets: therefore came a great wrath from YY -TZvaot.
