Would ye tarry for them till they were grown? would ye stay for them from having husbands? nay, my daughters; for it grieveth me much for your sakes that the hand of YY is gone out against me.
Whithersoever they went out, the hand of YY was against them for evil, as YY had said, and as YY had sworn unto them: and they were greatly distressed.
So they sent and gathered together all YY s of the Plishtim, and said, Send away the ark of the Elohim of Yisrael, and let it go again to his own place, that it slay us not, and our people: for there was a deadly destruction throughout all the city; the hand of Elohim was very heavy there.
Then said Yhudah to Tamar his daughter in law, Remain a widow at thy father's house, till Shelah my son be grown: for he said, Lest peradventure he die also, as his brethren did. And Tamar went and dwelt in her father's house.
Turn again, my daughters, go your way; for I am too old to have an husband. If I should say, I have hope, if I should have an husband also to night, and should also bear sons;
I went out full and YY hath brought me home again empty: why then call ye me Naomi, seeing YY hath testified against me, and El Shaddai hath afflicted me?
