Lift up thy feet unto the perpetual desolations; even all that the enemy hath done wickedly in the sanctuary.

Now therefore, O our Elohim, hear the prayer of thy servant, and his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for YY 's sake.

The adversary hath spread out his hand upon all her pleasant things: for she hath seen that the heathen entered into her sanctuary, whom thou didst command that they should not enter into thy congregation.

O Elohim, the heathen are come into thine inheritance; thy holy temple have they defiled; they have laid Yerushalayim on heaps.

And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Yerushalayim shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves.

Therefore shall TZiyon for your sake be plowed as a field, and Yerushalayim shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of the forest.

For, behold, YY cometh forth out of his place, and will come down, and tread upon the high places of the earth.

And arms shall stand on his part, and they shall pollute the sanctuary of strength, and shall take away the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.

And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

And burned the house of YY , and the king's house; and all the houses of Yerushalayim, and all the houses of the great men, burned he with fire:

And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.

For in this mountain shall the hand of YY rest, and Moab shall be trodden down under him, even as straw is trodden down for the dunghill.

I will send him against an hypocritical nation, and against the people of my wrath will I give him a charge, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.

Arise for our help, and redeem us for thy mercies' sake.

Awake, why sleepest thou, O YY ? arise, cast us not off for ever.

And I went out by night by the gate of the valley, even before the dragon well, and to the dung port, and viewed the walls of Yerushalayim, which were broken down, and the gates thereof were consumed with fire.

And said unto the king, Let the king live for ever: why should not my countenance be sad, when the city, the place of my fathers' sepulchres, lieth waste, and the gates thereof are consumed with fire?

And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach: the wall of Yerushalayim also is broken down, and the gates thereof are burned with fire.

And it came to pass, when they brought out those kings unto Y'howshu`a, that Y'howshu`a called for all the men of Yisrael, and said unto the captains of the men of war which went with him, Come near, put your feet upon the necks of these kings. And they came near, and put their feet upon the necks of them.

But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the Holy City shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

And he burnt the house of YY , and the king's house, and all the houses of Yerushalayim, and every great man's house burnt he with fire.
