Thou hast shewed thy people hard things: thou hast made us to drink the wine of astonishment.

Thou, which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth.

Thus saith thy YY YY , and thy Elohim that pleadeth the cause of his people, Behold, I have taken out of thine hand the cup of trembling, even the dregs of the cup of my fury; thou shalt no more drink it again:

Awake, awake, stand up, O Yerushalayim, which hast drunk at the hand of YY the cup of his fury; thou hast drunken the dregs of the cup of trembling, and wrung them out.

For thus saith YY Elohim of Yisrael unto me; Take the wine cup of this fury at my hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send thee, to drink it.

For in the hand of YY there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them.

And saying, Alas, alas, that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls!

And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before Elohim, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.

Thou art filled with shame for glory: drink thou also, and let thy foreskin be uncovered: the cup of YY 's right hand shall be turned unto thee, and shameful spewing shall be on thy glory.

And he hath confirmed his words, which he spake against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil: for under the whole heaven hath not been done as hath been done upon Yerushalayim.

Rejoice and be glad, O daughter of Edom, that dwellest in the land of Uz; the cup also shall pass through unto thee: thou shalt be drunken, and shalt make thyself naked.

Now therefore, our Elohim, the great, the mighty, and the terrible Elohim, who keepest covenant and mercy, let not all the trouble seem little before thee, that hath come upon us, on our kings, on our princes, and on our kohanim, and on our prophets, and on our fathers, and on all thy people, since the time of the kings of Ashur unto this day.

O YY Elohim of hosts, how long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people?

Thou hast brought a vine out of Egypt: thou hast cast out the heathen, and planted it.

Wilt thou be angry with us for ever? wilt thou draw out thine anger to all generations?

Thou hast made void the covenant of thy servant: thou hast profaned his crown by casting it to the ground.
