The proverbs of Shlomo. A wise son maketh a glad father: but a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother.

Behold, a son shall be born to thee, who shall be a man of rest; and I will give him rest from all his enemies round about: for his name shall be Shlomo, and I will give peace and quietness unto Yisrael in his days.

The words of the Preacher, the son of David, king in Yerushalayim.

These are also proverbs of Shlomo, which the men of Hizkiyah-yahu king of Yhudah copied out.

And of all my sons, (for YY hath given me many sons,) he hath chosen Shlomo my son to sit upon the Throne of the kingdom of YY over Yisrael.

Then sat Shlomo upon the Throne of David his father; and his kingdom was established greatly.

And moreover, because the preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge; yea, he gave good heed, and sought out, and set in order many proverbs.

And he died in a good old age, full of days, riches, and honour: and Shlomo his son reigned in his stead.

These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father.

And YY gave Shlomo wisdom, as he promised him: and there was peace between Hiram and Shlomo; and they two made a league together.

Then Shlomo sat on the Throne of YY as king instead of David his father, and prospered; and all Yisrael obeyed him.

That I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth; that thou mightest answer the words of truth to them that send unto thee?
