And Moshe sent messengers from Kadesh unto the king of Edom, Thus saith thy brother Yisrael, Thou knowest all the travail that hath befallen us:

Thou shalt not abhor an Edomite; for he is thy brother: thou shalt not abhor an Egyptian; because thou wast a stranger in his land.

And they said unto him, From a very far country thy servants are come because of the name of YY thy Elohim: for we have heard the fame of him, and all that he did in Egypt,

And Moshe told his father in law all that YY had done unto Pharaoh and to the Egyptians for Yisrael's sake, and all the travail that had come upon them by the way, and how YY delivered them.

And YY said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.

And they went and came to Moshe, and to Aharon, and to all the congregation of the children of Yisrael, unto the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and brought back word unto them, and unto all the congregation, and shewed them the fruit of the land.

How our fathers went down into Egypt, and we have dwelt in Egypt a long time; and the Egyptians vexed us, and our fathers:

And the children of Yisrael, even the whole congregation, journeyed from Kadesh, and came unto mount Hor.

And she said unto the men, I know that YY hath given you the land, and that your terror is fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants of the land faint because of you.

For we have heard how YY dried up the water of the Red sea for you, when ye came out of Egypt; and what ye did unto the two kings of the Amorites, that were on the other side Yarden, Sihon and Og, whom ye utterly destroyed.

And all that he did to the two kings of the Amorites, that were beyond Yarden, to Sihon king of Heshbon, and to Og king of Bashan, which was at Ashtaroth.

Thus saith YY ; For three transgressions of Edom, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he did pursue his brother with the sword, and did cast off all pity, and his anger did tear perpetually, and he kept his wrath for ever:

And the first came out red, all over like an hairy garment; and they called his name Esav.

And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esav's heel; and his name was called Yaakov: and Yitzchak was threescore years old when she bare them.

And Yaakov asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him there.
