For the vineyard of YY -TZvaot is the house of Yisrael, and the men of Yhudah his pleasant plant: and he looked for judgment, but behold oppression; for righteousness, but behold a cry.
Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of YY -TZvaot.
And the next day he shewed himself unto them as they strove, and would have set them at one again, saying, Sirs, ye are brethren; why do ye wrong one to another?
And YY said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;
So neither I, nor my brethren, nor my servants, nor the men of the guard which followed me, none of us put off our clothes, saving that every one put them off for washing.
This is the word that came unto Yirmeyah-yahu from YY , after that the king TZidkiyah-yahu had made a covenant with all the people which were at Yerushalayim, to proclaim liberty unto them;
Thus saith YY Elohim; Let it suffice you, O princes of Yisrael: remove violence and spoil, and execute judgment and justice, take away your exactions from my people, saith YY Elohim.
And this have ye done again, covering the altar of YY with tears, with weeping, and with crying out, insomuch that he regardeth not the offering any more, or receiveth it with good will at your hand.
