And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the Synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

Therefore when thou doest thine tzedakim, do not sound a shofar before thee, as the hypocrites do in the Synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, Elohim be merciful to me a sinner.

And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.

And when ye spread forth your hands, I will hide mine eyes from you: yea, when ye make many prayers, I will not hear: your hands are full of blood.

Which devour widows' houses, and for a shew make long prayers: the same shall receive greater damnation.

But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, Elohim resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Yerushalayim, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his Elohim, as he did aforetime.

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Ruach, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all holy ones;

Woe unto you, Prushim! for ye love the uppermost seats in the Synagogues, and greetings in the markets.

And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.

Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my Elohim: for unto thee will I pray.

Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

And he said unto them in his teaching, Beware of the scribes, which love to go in long clothing, and love salutations in the marketplaces,

Pray ye therefore YY of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

But woe unto you, scribes and Prushim, hypocrites! for ye shut up the Kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to YY : though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished.

And love the uppermost rooms at Feasts, and the chief seats in the Synagogues,

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to YY : but the prayer of the upright is his delight.

Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

Take heed that ye do not your tzedakim before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.

But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their robes,

But woe unto you that are rich! for ye have received your consolation.
