In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his talmidim first of all, Beware ye of the hametz of the Prushim, which is hypocrisy.
No meat offering, which ye shall bring unto YY , shall be made with leaven: for ye shall burn no leaven, nor any honey, in any offering of YY made by fire.
But when he saw many of the Prushim and TZdukim come to his immersion, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the hametz of the Prushim and of the TZdukim?
