And they said, Some say that thou art Yochanan the Immerser: some, Eliyahu; and others, Yirmeyahu, or one of the prophets.
Others said, That it is Eliyahu. And others said, That it is a prophet, or as one of the prophets.
And said unto his servants, This is Yochanan the Immerser; he is risen from the dead; and therefore mighty works do shew forth themselves in him.
Behold, I will send you Eliyah-yahu the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of YY :
They say unto the blind man again, What sayest thou of him, that he hath opened thine eyes? He said, He is a prophet.
And there was much murmuring among the people concerning him: for some said, He is a good man: others said, Nay; but he deceiveth the people.
And of some, that Eliyahu had appeared; and of others, that one of the old prophets was risen again.
And they answered, Yochanan the Immerser: but some say, Eliyahu; and others, One of the prophets.
And his talmidim asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Eliyahu must first come?
And they asked him, What then? Art thou Eliyahu? And he saith, I am not. Art thou that prophet? And he answered, No.
The words of Yirmeyah-yahu the son of Hilkiah, of the kohanim that were in Anathoth in the land of Binyamin:
In those days came Yochanan the Immerser, preaching in the wilderness of Yhudah,
He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
