And the same Yochanan had his raiment of camel's hair, and a leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.

And it shall come to pass in that day, that the prophets shall be ashamed every one of his vision, when he hath prophesied; neither shall they wear a rough garment to deceive:

Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwellingplace;

So that the man that is tender among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his brother, and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of his children which he shall leave:

And as they departed, Y'shuw`a began to say unto the multitudes concerning Yochanan, What went ye out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken with the wind?

But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? yea, I say unto you, and more than a prophet.

But what went ye out for to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? Behold, they which are gorgeously apparelled, and live delicately, are in kings' courts.
