But the chief kohanim moved the people, that he should rather release Bar-Abba unto them.
But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;
Then cried they all again, saying, Not this man, but Bar-Abba. Now Bar-Abba was a robber.
But the chief kohanim and elders persuaded the multitude that they should ask Bar-Abba, and destroy Y'shuw`a.
Hear ye this, O kohanim; and hearken, ye house of Yisrael; and give ye ear, O house of the king; for judgment is toward you, because ye have been a snare on Mizpah, and a net spread upon Tavor.
For he knew that the chief kohanim had delivered him for envy.
And Pilate answered and said again unto them, What will ye then that I shall do unto him whom ye call the King of the Jews?
