And he answered and said unto them, What did Moshe Command you?

Tell me, ye that desire to be under the Torah, do ye not hear the Torah?

To the Torah and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

Search the Scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

And, behold, a certain lawyer stood up, and tempted him, saying, Rabbi, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?

And the Prushim came to him, and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife? tempting him.

And they said, Moshe suffered to write a bill of divorcement, and to put her away.
