This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Y'shuw`a stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.

But woe unto you, scribes and Prushim, hypocrites! for ye shut up the Kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

Neither let us tempt Moshiach, as some of them also tempted, and were destroyed of serpents.

Now both the chief kohanim and the Prushim had given a commandment, that, if any man knew where he were, he should shew it, that they might take him.

Then gathered the chief kohanim and the Prushim a council, and said, What do we? for this man doeth many miracles.

Have any of the rulers or of the Prushim believed on him?

The Prushim heard that the people murmured such things concerning him; and the Prushim and the chief kohanim sent officers to take him.

And the Prushim also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him.

And the Lord said unto him, Now do ye Prushim make clean the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness.

But the Prushim and lawyers rejected the counsel of Elohim against themselves, being not immersed of him.

And the scribes and Prushim watched him, whether he would heal on the Sabbath Day; that they might find an accusation against him.

But their scribes and Prushim murmured against his talmidim, saying, Why do ye eat and drink with publicans and sinners?

And he charged them, saying, Take heed, beware of the leaven of the Prushim, and of the leaven of Herod.

And the Prushim came forth, and began to question with him, seeking of him a sign from heaven, tempting him.

Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying,

The Prushim also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause?

The Prushim also with the TZdukim came, and tempting desired him that he would shew them a sign from heaven.

Then came his talmidim, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Prushim were offended, after they heard this saying?

But the Prushim said, He casteth out devils through the prince of the devils.

For YY , the Elohim of Yisrael, saith that he hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith YY -TZvaot: therefore take heed to your spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.

And he arose from thence, and cometh into the coasts of Yhudah by the farther side of Yarden: and the people resort unto him again; and, as he was wont, he taught them again.

And he answered and said unto them, What did Moshe Command you?
