Saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders and chief kohanim and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third day.
Searching what, or what manner of time the Ruach of Moshiach which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Moshiach, and the glory that should follow.
For he taught his talmidim, and said unto them, The Son of man is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after that he is killed, he shall rise the third day.
And he began to teach them, that the Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the elders, and of the chief kohanim, and scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.
But I say unto you, That Eliyahu is come already, and they knew him not, but have done unto him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.
Awake, O sword, against my shepherd, and against the man that is my fellow, saith YY -TZvaot: smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered: and I will turn mine hand upon the little ones.
And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the Torah of Moshe, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
