And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.

To appoint unto them that mourn in TZiyon, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of YY , that he might be glorified.

Let thy garments be always white; and let thy head lack no ointment.

Therefore also now, saith YY , turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning:

And thou wentest to the king with ointment, and didst increase thy perfumes, and didst send thy messengers far off, and didst debase thyself even unto hell.

Because of the savour of thy good ointments thy name is as ointment poured forth, therefore do the virgins love thee.

Now when the Prushim which had bidden him saw it, he spake within himself, saying, This man, if he were a prophet, would have known who and what manner of woman this is that toucheth him: for she is a sinner.

(It was that Miryam which anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Elazar was sick.)
