And the men that held Y'shuw`a mocked him, and smote him.

And when he had thus spoken, one of the officers which stood by struck Y'shuw`a with the palm of his hand, saying, Answerest thou Kohen hagadol so?

Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:

Looking unto Y'shuw`a the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the execution stake, despising the shame, and is set down at the Right Hand of the Throne of Elohim.

Now gather thyself in troops, O daughter of troops: he hath laid siege against us: they shall smite the judge of Yisrael with a rod upon the cheek.

He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men:

Thus saith YY , the Redeemer of Yisrael, His Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers, Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of YY that is faithful, The Holy One of Yisrael, and he shall choose thee.

Let them not say in their hearts, Ah, so would we have it: let them not say, We have swallowed him up.

They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion.

And Kefa went out, and wept bitterly.

Kohen hagadol then asked Y'shuw`a of his talmidim, and of his teaching.
