He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
The Elohim of Avraham, and of Yitzchak, and of Yaakov, the Elohim of our fathers, hath glorified his Son Y'shuw`a; whom ye delivered up, and denied him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let him go.
And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to buffet him, and to say unto him, Prophesy: and the servants did strike him with the palms of their hands.
From that time forth began Y'shuw`a to shew unto his talmidim, how that he must go unto Yerushalayim, and suffer many things of the elders and chief kohanim and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.
And the people stood beholding. And the rulers also with them derided him, saying, He saved others; let him save himself, if he be Moshiach, the chosen of Elohim.
Then led they Y'shuw`a from Kayafa unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves went not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they might eat the Passover.
And straightway in the morning the chief kohanim held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council, and bound Y'shuw`a, and carried him away, and delivered him to Pilate.
