And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but Elohim knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of Elohim.
But YY said unto Shmuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for YY seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but YY looketh on the heart.
Therefore judge nothing before the time, until YY come, who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: and then shall every man have praise of Elohim.
But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of Elohim of great price.
And the Lord said unto him, Now do ye Prushim make clean the outside of the cup and the platter; but your inward part is full of ravening and wickedness.
I know also, my Elohim, that thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of mine heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy thy people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto thee.
And I will kill her children with death; and all the Congregations shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.
Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for Elohim resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
The Parush stood and prayed thus with himself, Elohim, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
Then hear thou from heaven thy dwelling place, and forgive, and render unto every man according unto all his ways, whose heart thou knowest; (for thou only knowest the hearts of the children of men:)
And they watched him, and sent forth spies, which should feign themselves just men, that they might take hold of his words, that so they might deliver him unto the power and authority of the governor.
Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the Synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
Therefore when thou doest thine tzedakim, do not sound a shofar before thee, as the hypocrites do in the Synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
He saith unto him the third time, Shimon-Bar-Yochanan, lovest thou me? Kefa was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Y'shuw`a saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Ruach, because he maketh intercession for the holy ones according to the will of Elohim.
