But Elohim said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?

As the partridge sitteth on eggs, and hatcheth them not; so he that getteth riches, and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at his end shall be a fool.

For what is the hope of the hypocrite, though he hath gained, when Elohim taketh away his soul?

For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.

Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death.

There is that maketh himself rich, yet hath nothing: there is that maketh himself poor, yet hath great riches.

Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.

Come ye, say they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and to morrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant.

Ye which rejoice in a thing of nought, which say, Have we not taken to us shofars by our own strength?

Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living Elohim, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
