YY hath cast off his altar, he hath abhorred his sanctuary, he hath given up into the hand of the enemy the walls of her palaces; they have made a noise in the house of YY , as in the day of a solemn feast.

Speak unto the house of Yisrael, Thus saith YY Elohim; Behold, I will profane my sanctuary, the excellency of your strength, the desire of your eyes, and that which your soul pitieth; and your sons and your daughters whom ye have left shall fall by the sword.

But I will send a fire upon Yhudah, and it shall devour the palaces of Yerushalayim.

And burned the house of YY , and the king's house; and all the houses of Yerushalayim, and all the houses of the great men, burned he with fire:

And Y'shuw`a said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

Therefore shall TZiyon for your sake be plowed as a field, and Yerushalayim shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of the forest.

Wherefore I will bring the worst of the heathen, and they shall possess their houses: I will also make the pomp of the strong to cease; and their holy places shall be defiled.

YY was as an enemy: he hath swallowed up Yisrael, he hath swallowed up all her palaces: he hath destroyed his strong holds, and hath increased in the daughter of Yhudah mourning and lamentation.

How hath YY covered the daughter of TZiyon with a cloud in his anger, and cast down from heaven unto the earth the beauty of Yisrael, and remembered not his footstool in the day of his anger!

And the Chaldeans burned the king's house, and the houses of the people, with fire, and brake down the walls of Yerushalayim.

And the Chaldeans, that fight against this city, shall come and set fire on this city, and burn it with the houses, upon whose roofs they have offered incense unto Baal, and poured out drink offerings unto other elohim, to provoke me to anger.

Mikhah the Morasthite prophesied in the days of Hizkiyah-yahu king of Yhudah, and spake to all the people of Yhudah, saying, Thus saith YY -TZvaot; TZiyon shall be plowed like a field, and Yerushalayim shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of a forest.

Then will I make this house like Shiloh, and will make this city a curse to all the nations of the earth.

And they burnt the house of Elohim, and brake down the wall of Yerushalayim, and burnt all the palaces thereof with fire, and destroyed all the goodly vessels thereof.

And yet for all that, when they be in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them: for I am YY their Elohim.

And I will make your cities waste, and bring your sanctuaries unto desolation, and I will not smell the savour of your sweet odours.

Thou hast made void the covenant of thy servant: thou hast profaned his crown by casting it to the ground.

Thus saith YY Elohim of Yisrael; Behold, I will turn back the weapons of war that are in your hands, wherewith ye fight against the king of Bavel, and against the Chaldeans, which besiege you without the walls, and I will assemble them into the midst of this city.

The voice of them that flee and escape out of the land of Bavel, to declare in TZiyon the vengeance of YY our Elohim, the vengeance of his temple.

The ways of TZiyon do mourn, because none come to the solemn feasts: all her gates are desolate: her kohanim sigh, her virgins are afflicted, and she is in bitterness.

And he burnt the house of YY , and the king's house, and all the houses of Yerushalayim, and every great man's house burnt he with fire.

Be not wroth very sore, O YY , neither remember iniquity for ever: behold, see, we beseech thee, we are all thy people.

I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of YY , and by his fierce anger.

For thus hath YY said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end.
