So Y'howshu`a arose, and all the people of war, to go up against Ai: and Y'howshu`a chose out thirty thousand mighty men of valour, and sent them away by night.
But the day of YY will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
And thou shalt do to Ai and her king as thou didst unto Yericho and her king: only the spoil thereof, and the cattle thereof, shall ye take for a prey unto yourselves: lay thee an ambush for the city behind it.
And he Commanded them, saying, Behold, ye shall lie in wait against the city, even behind the city: go not very far from the city, but be ye all ready:
And Moshe said unto Y'howshu`a, Choose us out men, and go out, fight with Amalek: to morrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of Elohim in mine hand.
